Advocacy sessions towards partner municipalities of Tabarka, Kairouan and Mahdia
Within the framework of the program “Moussawat” of the Ministry of Women, Family, Childhood and Elderly, and in partnership the Spanish foundation “CIDEAL”, the Associative Action launched, in February 2018, a project called “Word To Women” which aims to empower women participation in local governance in the 3 partners cities : Kairouan, Mahdia and Tabarlka.
The program was launched with advocacy sessions and information of the project to the main stakeholders as described below :
* It is to be considered that a second advocacy step took part by the project team in September 2018 towards the new municipal councils elected in May 2018

Training of municipal elections’ candidates of Sfax
On the 28th and the 29th of March 2018, the Associative Action organized a training session on the participatory mechanisms to be implemented by the municipalities, to the municipal elections’s candidates of city of Sfax.
The training was followed by signature of Participatory Democracy Charter by the candidates participating in the training, and who belonged to different political parties and independent lists.
The Charter represents a moral commitment from all the candidates to apply participatory mechanisms, which takes into consideration the criteria mentioned in the Charter.

On the 26th and the 27th of March 2018, the Associative Action organized a training session on the participatory mechanisms to be implemented by the municipalities, to the municipal elections’s candidates of city of Gremda.
The training was followed by signature of Participatory Democracy Charter by the candidates participating in the training, and who belonged to different political parties and independent lists.
